St Luke does not only work in Port-Au-Prince, the capital of the country, but we are also in various provincial areas, working in the field of health, education, agriculture and Outreach. We always work alongside the underprivileged masses.

That moment came in 2019, when a pediatrician at St Damien Hospital in Tabarre finally told Olga that her son was suffering from an incurable disease called cystic fibrosis. Olson was then 13 years old.

She is so gentle and calm, the patients relax, they hardly feel a thing as she seeks out and successfully inserts the life-saving catheter and I.V. We have all been thankful for Miss Michele's expertise over the years.
Read MoreWith a 40-bed unit, the St Luke Family Hospital of the St Luke Foundation, was one of the first health institutions in Port-au-Prince to be prepared on the front-line against Covid-19. With a team of 40 health professionals, risking our lives, we do everything in our capacity to medically treat and psychologically support those infected. Despite our limited resources, we are in the process of creating extra space to increase the number of beds to 80, and even more over time as need dictates, to welcome and care for more people as they become infected with the virus.
