IN MEMORY OF OLSON SAINT VI
/It is with profound sadness that the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti announces the passing of Sainvil Olson, an exceptional young man who deeply touched the hearts of the entire St. Luke Hospital family.
For several years, Olson bravely battled cystic fibrosis. His story was shared by the St. Luke Foundation in 2022, when he became a special patient at our hospital, requiring lengthy and repeated hospitalizations due to the complexity of his illness.
Despite the pain and many challenges caused by his condition, Olson was known for his joy of life, sense of humor, and ability to bring smiles to those around him. Even during difficult moments, he always found a way to share a little humor with the healthcare staff caring for him at his bedside.
Today, as we mourn Olson’s passing and his journey into eternity, we especially want to say THANK YOU.
Thank you to all the friends, supporters, donors, and benefactors of the St. Luke Foundation who, for nearly four years, generously helped accompany Olson and his family throughout this long and difficult journey.
Your financial support, prayers, compassion, and continued faithfulness allowed Olson to receive dignified care and support, while also providing invaluable assistance to his mother and loved ones.
You walked alongside Olson throughout his battle. You helped give him moments of dignity, comfort, and happiness. For this, we will always be deeply grateful.
To his family and to everyone who loved him, the St. Luke Foundation extends its deepest and most sincere condolences.
Olson, your smile, courage, and joy for life will forever remain engraved in our hearts.

EN MÉMOIRE D’OLSON ST VIL
C’est avec une profonde tristesse que la Fondation Saint-Luc pour Haïti annonce le décès de Sainvil Olson, un jeune homme exceptionnel qui a marqué profondément la grande famille de l’Hôpital Saint-Luc.
Depuis plusieurs années, Olson menait un courageux combat contre la maladie. Son histoire avait été partagée par la Fondation Saint-Luc en 2022, alors qu’il était devenu un patient particulier de notre hôpital, tant sa maladie ( Mucoviscidose) nécessitait des hospitalisations parfois longues et à répétition. Malgré les souffrances et les nombreuses difficultés liées à sa maladie, Olson était connu pour sa joie de vivre, son sens de l’humour et sa capacité à apporter un sourire aux autres. Olson apportait toujours un brin d'humour , même aux personnels soignants à son chevet.
Aujourd’hui, alors que nous pleurons le départ pour l'éternité d'Olson, nous voulons surtout dire MERCI.
Merci à tous les amis, supporteurs, donateurs et bienfaiteurs de la Fondation Saint-Luc qui, pendant environ quatre années, ont généreusement contribué à accompagner Olson et sa famille dans cette longue épreuve.
Votre soutien financier, vos prières, votre compassion et votre fidélité ont permis à Olson de recevoir des soins et un accompagnement dignes, tout en apportant un soutien précieux à sa mère et à ses proches.
Vous avez marché aux côtés d 'Olson pendant son combat. Vous avez contribué à lui offrir des moments de dignité, de réconfort et de bonheur. Pour cela, nous vous serons toujours reconnaissants.
