Un nouveau souffle pour l’éducation supérieure en Haïti

Un contexte difficile, une réponse ambitieuse  

Dans une décennie marquée par l’essor intellectuel et scientifique, Haïti a vu émerger de nombreux diplômés de haut niveau. Pourtant, la crise sécuritaire a frappé de plein fouet le secteur éducatif : pillages, incendies, fermeture d’universités, déplacements difficiles… L’accès à l’université est devenu un rêve lointain pour beaucoup de jeunes, surtout dans les communes de Tabarre, Delmas et Croix-des-Bouquets.

La Fondation Saint Luc : une tradition d’excellence  

Forte de trente-cinq écoles classiques et deux polytechniques, la Fondation Saint Luc a toujours œuvré pour l’éducation des plus vulnérables. Aujourd’hui, elle franchit une nouvelle étape : accompagner les jeunes vers l’université grâce à une structure innovante, l’Université de la Fondation St Luc . 

Une université reconnue et ouverte sur le monde  

Après un processus rigoureux, l’université a obtenu son droit de fonctionnement pour trois ans, de juillet 2025 à juillet 2028. Les diplômes délivrés sont officiellement reconnus et peuvent être légalisés par les autorités compétentes

Une vision intégrale : « Éduquer pour Servir »  

De la maternelle à l’université, la Fondation propose un parcours éducatif complet. L’université est le couronnement de cette mission : former des citoyens compétents, prêts à intégrer le marché du travail et à contribuer au développement durable de la société haïtienne.

Dès octobre 2026, trois premières facultés ouvriront leurs portes :

An Ambitious Response to a Challenging Reality Over the last decade, Haiti’s intellectual and scientific community has seen remarkable growth, producing an increasing number of highly qualified graduates. However, the ongoing security crisis has dealt a heavy blow to the education sector. Between looting, closures, and the dangers of daily travel, higher education has become an unreachable dream for many—especially for the youth in Tabarre, Delmas, and Croix-des-Bouquets.

The Saint Luc Foundation: A Legacy of Excellence With a network of 35 primary and secondary schools and two polytechnic institutes, the Saint Luc Foundation has long been a pillar of education for Haiti’s most vulnerable. Today, we are taking a bold step forward. We are bridging the gap between secondary school and professional life with a new, innovative institution: The University of the Saint Luc Foundation, Haiti.

Global Standards, Local Impact Following a rigorous evaluation process, our university has been granted official accreditation to operate from July 2025 through July 2028. Our degrees are fully recognized and eligible for legalization (what does legalization mean?) by the proper authorities (WHO are the proper authorities? Which institution gave accreditation?), ensuring our graduates have the academic and professional mobility they need to succeed anywhere in the world.
