The Novena for July 23rd was overridden by an emergency, read more...

Starting Sunday noon, gangs attacked our neighborhood.

I won’t show any pictures because they are disturbing, but this record of alerting our various teams gives an idea of what the country of Haiti is facing because of gang rule.

“Bandits attacked our neighborhood Sunday,

Dumonai and Truitier.

We have six gunshot injured neighbors at St Luc emergency.

We also received a gunshot motorcycle taxi driver this morning,

and two gunshot police last night.

The bandits are attacking the population.

We have many employees living in those neighborhoods,

and there were rumors that Gênet was injured and presumed dead,

and we worry about Mario who lives there and cannot be accounted for.

There are many, many refugees fleeing on foot, some elderly using tree ranches as walking sticks to balance themselves.

We went to get some of the wounded, and to bring to our morgue one who did not survive.

We later found Genet and Mario unharmed, thank God.

The gunshot included

Police

elderly women

pregnant woman

teenagers.

I was very angry at fate.

While we scrambled to save lives,

Raphael's body was lying as cold as a stone,

a hundred feet away in the St Luc Chapel.

He would have normally been the first and the best help.

He is dead, while the bandits thrive.

We are organizing to help up to 50 elderly people, women and children refugees

who are now wandering the streets.
