Feast Day of the St Luke the Evangelist

On October 16, 2020 The St. Luke Foundation celebrated the feast day of St. Luke the Evangelist.

The celebration started with a thanksgiving mass. The chapel was filled with hospital staff, friends, patients and families. A choir named after St. Luke came to celebrate and shared cheerful songs accompanied by drums and piano.

The St Luke Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in 2000, celebrating its 20th year providing healthcare, education, and development programs. Luke is the Patron Saint of the Foundation. In his message, Father Rick took the opportunity to provide a history of the St Luke Foundation, explaining how and why the mission was born.

Luke's message was centered on the mercy of God and care for the poor. His life was dedicated to healing and teaching, and that is why he was chosen as the Patron Saint. Father Rick reminded us of the necessity to unite despite our differences, and day by day to be more compassionate and merciful towards our neighbors.

After mass, the party continued with a small refreshment. We distributed pasta made at our production center Francisville as well as homemade chocolate and coffee , to express our gratitude to our employees and particularly to the medical personnel who always work tirelessly to provide compassionate care to the sick.

It was truly a time of meditation and reflection for each of us.

We always count on your prayers and action to help us stay ever closer to the sick and the poor.

We are always grateful for each of you.

Thank you.
